“Hudson Valley is a rockin’ female-fronted country band, that lends credence to the suspected, if unproven fact, that there are more hillbillies in upstate New York than in the whole state of Tennessee. Fiery, red-headed lead singer Sarah Owens has been carrying a torch for country music north of the Mason Dixon line since she was a little girl, singing the greats of 90’s Country like Martina McBride, Faith Hill, and the Dixie Chicks.
After landing in Nashville in 2018, Owens hit the ground running with a group of musical kindred spirits; Richie Owens on drums, Andrew Kosek on bass, and Matt Farinelli on guitar. They formed “Hudson Valley” and began playing shows around Music City at such Nashville hotspots as The Listening Room, 3rd and Lindsley, the infamous Whiskey Jam and The Bluebird Café. While still promoting their newly released music Hudson Valley has earned a coveted residency at The Sutler Saloon and currently with Blake Shelton’s OLE RED.
Their EP “Seven” debuted at #17 on the iTunes Country Album Chart and their lead single ‘Can’t Have Nothin’ Nice’ being picked up by Radio Disney Country along with the official music video debuting on The Country Network. The songs that Owens and the band write draw from their collective country, rock, and pop influences, and the group is creating quite a buzz in music circles up and down Music Row!”
